Agave de Cortes Reposado sometimes contains a worm, but sometimes it does not. Check your bottle to see if there’s a worm in the bottom.
About this mezcal
Agave de Cortes Reposado is made with agave Espadin. It comes in both the con gusano (with worm) and sin gusano (without worm) varieties. Both options are made by Leoncio Santiago in Santiago Matatlan using a copper still. After distillation, this mezcal is matured in American oak barrels, giving it a caramel color and taste.

Firesidesipper
44 reviewsSmooth and complex, with plenty of up-front smoke. Notes of fresh oak and green bell pepper. I think the aging to make this a reposado covers up some flavor nuances. Rich on the palate with a lingering, mellow finish. A nice sipper. Batch: ACRE270415, Edition: 08, Harvest: 2014, Bottle: 209/2095.
