Azul

Maguey azul (Agave tequilana) is traditionally used in tequila.  There are a few mezcals made with this Maguey, using traditional methods in place of the mechanized production typically seen in tequila. It’s a genetic relative to Maguey espadin (Agave angustifolia), and can be farm grown. It’s sustainable, weather resistant, and produces high yields.
