72 reviewsoh wow Ive been sleeping on opening this. Lucky day!! this is phenomenal! its the mixtape batch at 50.2%. I don’t see any other deets. im drinking from a wide clay copita.
Im greeted with a tropical fruity floral presence, ripe papaya. very pleasant and standout for espadín. would love to know more about this, growing conditions or if varietal or if this is standard for them. (cause I’d be grabbing another bottle!)
this is flavor for days. it goes on, long finish. taste buds are dancing through the night. some reason rock candy comes to mind. love this. def up there in my top favs for espadín batches.

37 reviewshighly complex and interesting sipping. a bit sour and lactic/cheesy for my palate, but still acquiring a taste for aged agave; take this rating with a grain of worm salt.

668 reviewsRockin’ Espadin. Probably flew through this 200ml bottle faster than any Mixtape offering ever released. There is something special about a good Espadin in the age of basic sub-43% celebrity Espadin mezcals. Looking at you “two guys”!
The full flavor of this Espadin (at 50.2%) is incredible because of the complexity of flavors. The “high” proof doesn’t overbear any part of this distillate. Big notes of powered sugar, salt, and lime rind. This is delicious.

542 reviewsNose – A combination grapefruit citrus and vanilla.
Palate – Fruity to start. Subtle vanilla bean. Tad bit of bread dough. A note of shaved, Parmesan cheese right off the wheel shines on the back end. A crazy. long finish and aftertaste. Some Miahuatlan magic happening here. A top espadin for sure and a great find by Ben and the MB/AMT team.

16 reviewsJust a quick review that I’ll come back to later when I’ve had a chance to come back to it, but on first drink it’s my new favorite Espadín. I find a lot of Espadíns a bit sour these days compared to other magueys and avoid them, but all the time in glass worked magic on this batch. It’s warm and caramelly while still having the Espadín flavors on top of that. It’s rich and complex and I’m already sad I only have 200 ml of it. I thought this was the throwaway batch you got in order to have the Ciro and Lalos, but this is a real star in its own.
