Kilinga Bacanora Silvestre has notes of wildflowers, citrus, and the tartness of a green apple, with a gentle violet finish.
About this bacanora
Kilinga Bacanora Silvestre is made with Maguey Pacifica (Angustifolia Haw) in Álamos, Sonora, México by maestro Bacanorero Rodrigo Bojórquez Bours.
Kilinga Bacanora
Kilinga Bacanora is a family-owned brand that was established in 2018 by Rodrigo Bojorquez Bours in Alamos, Sonora, Mexico. Rodrigo had tried many Bacanoras, but they mostly left him unimpressed and uninspired. However, he fell in love with this regionally-celebrated spirit after tasting a Bacanora made by a Sonoran friend; it was unlike anything else he had tasted. That experience inspired Rodrigo. He set out to craft a Bacanora of his own, one reflective of the unique Sonora terroir and artisan methods.

Review #73: Nose has light cream, chlorine, grass, soft airy florals, and mint.
Palate is herbal, grass, lemongrass, sweet potato, orange oils, and then soapy lavender lasting on the finish.
This one surprised me a bit. I did a side by side with pizcadores and santo cuviso bacanora with this and liked this one the most. It had the most unique notes among them all and i found the others boring compared to this. Although it’s 40% abv, it is very aromatic and the flavors have a decent presence with moderate complexity. It also gave me a bit of a sugarcane rum vibe. Definitely check this out if you can get a pour of it.
