Mala Mia Espadin is made with maguey Espadin (Agave angustifolia) in Santiago Matatlán, Oaxaca. Third generation Maestro Mezcalero, Saturnino Martínez Méndez, crushes his agaves by horse-drawn tahona, ferments them in pine tinas, and double distills in copper stills.

122 reviewsLot 01 24 ESP Case 44/60 42% sampled on 11 2024. Aromas out of the bottle are soft smooth and roasted brown fruits. Little smoke. Flavors follow with a sweetness and brown flavor of agave and green grassy overtones. Very basic Espadin, but clean.
