Mezcal Mortal Espadin is double distilled in copper stills and has a leather and smoky essence, followed by a fresh herbal sent.
About this mezcal
Mezcal Mortal Espadin is made using 100% agave Espadin in Tlalixtac, Oaxaca. The agave hearts are cooked in a conical oven of dry earth. An oak fire covered by river stones cooks the agave for three days while covered by thermal blankets. A horse-drawn tahona is used to grind the cooked agave. To preserve the organic properties of the mezcal, it is naturally fermented. The agave fibers are rested in oak vats with spring water and then doubled distilled in copper pots.
Mortal Mezcal
Mezcal Mortal is inspired by “Día de los Muertos” or Day of the Dead. During this celebration, people remember with joy all the precious moments they had spent with the people that are no longer with us. The celebration, just as like mezcal, reminds people that mortality is not about dead, its about the life that we still have and the opportunity to start new adventures and create unforgettable memories.
