About this raicilla
Raicilla De Una is made with Agave maximiliana in the highlands of the Sierra Madre Occidental mountains of Jalisco, Mexico. The agaves are harvested after 8 years and roasted in an adobe and stone oven. De Una is double distilled.
The warm, spicy notes of black and green peppercorn mixed with raw cacao give way to sweet, roasted pine apple and caramelized tropical fruit. Raicilla De Una is raw and complex blend of what one expects from the Mountains of Mexico. On the nose, grapefruit pith mingles with fresh herbs and wild underbrush making it hard to ignore the dusty earth tones of this traditional agave spirit. On first taste, the caramelized fruit hits the mid palate followed by a spicy kick that ultimately leaves the drinker with a long, pleasant finish of creamy and slightly smokey cacao. – Grace Gaboury, CS, The Court of Master Sommeliers
In 2024, the brand partnered with YETI, the high-end cooler brand, for The Agave Collection, a product color inspired by their fields of Maximiliana.
