Zancudo Botanico is produced by Carlos Alberto Morales Taracena, a proud 6th generation mezcalero in the prolific Morales family of San Dionisio Ocotepec, Oaxaca. The agave is cooked in a pit oven, milled by tahona, fermented with natural yeasts, and double distilled in copper stills. During the second distillation, a blend of herbs including cardamom, vanilla, lavender, juniper, coriander seed, and lemon tea is added to the still.
Zancudo Mezcal
Zancudo began in 2012. It is produced by Carlos Morales, a 6th generation mezcal producer that has over 400 years of experience in his family. He is a member of the prolific Morales family in San Dionisio Ocotepec, Oaxaca.
