40% ABV. Definitly an intro mezcal but not subdued in any way. A completely enjoyable and nearly “perfect” Joven. Made from a speices of agave that resides in the deep desert and is indiginous to the high desert area where the peyote cactus comes from. (fuzzy staff, cactusbutton)… and what’s this NOM all about? On the front of the bottle it has F426D (Districto Federal). On the back label it lists NOM S124L so I’m not sure where it comes from.
Very tasty and the ABV is right for a mezcal. I always say Bacanora is between a mezcal and a tequila. This one hits all the right notes. Reasonably priced and is worthy of a place on any bar.
