Super lemon-lime bomb. Mix with 7-up and you wouldn’t know it’s there (not that I’m advocating for that). Extremely easy to drink, very light and bright
Finish is just a slightly muted/leathery citrus. Very nice
Tastes like a good Mexicano. Nose was non-descript. Initial taste was big and dark. The leathery darkness turns into a very pleasant lingering sweetness. I definitely see how other reviews compare to grape jolly ranchers. Excellent.
Initial nose, very citrus forward, very pleasant and not hot. First tasting was like a mango habanero salsa. Super fruity and spicy. The mango and spice just continued for the whole glass. Fantastic.
Nose starts off with a heavy rubbing alcohol vibe, smells hot. Initial taste, very pleasant, kind of spicy but smooth. Can’t quite place the main flavors. Made my lips numb. Further sips were more medicinal, harshly herbal. Finish was pretty long, but more of the harsh herbal notes.
A very strange sip. Really evolved, but not always in a positive direction.
Mostly clean, slightly woodsy nose. Very big initial hits of spearmint which fades into leather and clay. Finish is incredibly long and gets sweeter the longer you wait for the next sip.
Reminds me more of a Mexicano rather than an espadin. A little ethanol and chemical notes on the nose. Explodes with darker flavors in the mouth, clay, minerals, a little smoke. Clean, kind of coppery finish.
Lot acr052
Tried completely blind.
Hot on the nose, but not on the pallet. Really like it but struggling to identify the individual flavors, although whatever they are are delicious. Great, lingering finish.
Lot mgg-13
Nice grassy nose. . It’s a good, classic cuixe profile. Sweet grass, oily finish which lingers a good amount of time.. Perfectly drinkable, but nothing really memorable.
Lot mgg-12t.
Good, but not super memorable. Nice mouth feel. A good initial sweetness, followed by a distinct earthiness which fades quickly. Very easy to drink, a good representation of tepextate
An awesome bottling. Like a pechuga without, but with lots of complexity, but more focused on the meaty/oily side. A great mouth feel, finish, and no burn at all.
A very tasty ensemble. Smells hot on the nose, but is very balanced on the palate. The characteristic Mala idea sweetness is present, but with some citrus and butterscotch flavors.
A decent cuishe. The grassy notes are there, along with what seems to be a sweetness found in all of the Mala idea bottlings.
Sweet green pepper flavors are very pronounced. Caramel finish that seems to linger in a good way. Don’t know the price point for it, but I’d definitely try another bottle.
Alcohol is very pronounced. A little sweetness on the finish, but not much other flavor.
All about the green pepper. Nose and initial hit in the palate is Jalapeno forward. Finish is sweet and still peppery. All in a great way.
nice long pleasant finish. A little hottter. Not as smooth as most tobala.
Very unique. Pineapple sweetness in the nose. Super smooth and light with some nice spice. Finish is heavy on Mango flavors. Delicious
Nose is funky but also has a lot if alcohol smell for 46%. Taste is smooth, but also a little alcohol forward. Finish is long and a little oily, in a good way.
Very complex. Nose is a little harsh, but it leads to a spicy and lasting finish. A little medicinal, in a good way.
