Very pleasant Espadin, perfect for intrducing someone new to Mezcal.
A gentle smokiness, notes of herbs, chocolate and leather on the nose. Very slight alcohol bite, easy to sip and enjoy.
This mezcal is produced in rather limited quantities by a ’boutique’ cooperative in Oaxaca state.
For a reposado it is actually quite nice. Made from 100% Espadin, it has lightly smokey taste with hints of caramel and roasted agave. A smooth and fairly mild sipper…

New to this site, but not to Mezcal tasting, after having spent many, many years visiting Oaxaca and Mexico. The Mezcal industry is going through considerable change!Anyway, I find this Cuishe agave offering (at least the lote I tasted) a little on the harsh side, maybe letting the alcohol bite evaporate might have helped… Some interesting earthy notes but overall noticed an oily finish… not my favorite.
