Sampled while out 2023. Dont have details only front photo. 48.2% San Luis del rio. Great profile, well balanced. Great for price. I didn’t find it to be hot.
coming back to a different bottle in 2024. batch HMA1-22, bottle 137, 47.4%. san luis del rio, tlacolula, Jorge Mendez. herbal, some ethanol on the nose. palette, sweet, grassy. but rather balanced. again i find it to be a moderately tasty espadin. one I would have again, especially for the price, not necessarily rave about but certainly not off-putting by any means.

This was a delightful surprise. Returning to notes now that I’ve tasted from a few different bottles. Some I have preferred more than others. can be a little hot. And while I like this profile I don’t tend to want to drink it too often or much of it.
Aroma: hints of coco, earthen, backed by vegetal note
Palate: earthy. roasted. Sort of chalky(?) finish. light cacao. the espadin pairing is delightful.
