Bottle date 2-23; Lot A39; bottle 150T (purchased in Puerto Vallarta in Sept 2023)
Spicy smell, hints of fruit like cantaloupe, lime, papaya, mild peet at first which disappears as the fruit note become more predominant. Spicy, peppery, earthy taste. Hints of wood.
At the Devils Bat in the building where we stayed in PV. Free because the bottle ran out. Smoky, vanilla, mildly sweet, smooth. Decent.
At PV Mezcal Bar. Smoky, mild heat but smooth and yummy. Peppery, agave, and smoke
Nice and smoky and smooth. Smell is mildly smoky, earthy, Agave. Complex flavors: smoky, mild citrus, maybe orange? Earthy, stone, mild vanilla.
Had at Mezcal Bar in Puerto Vallarta. Boozy heat, a bit of smoke. Agave comes through. Seems like it would be a good mixer, so many better ones to drink straight.
Mildly smoky, warming. Vanilla, a bit harsh in the taste. Had at mezcal bar during a rain storm in PV.
Lot G-59. Purchased at Agave Liquors in PV. Not sure if I actually taste chicken or if itâs the power of suggestion. đ a bit of boozy heat. Not as well balanced as the other San Mateo mezcals that Iâve tried. I think I do taste chicken.
Lot G-58. 100% agave S.P. Purchased at Agave Liquors in PV. Mildly smoky agave smell. Taste is earthy, agave, mild vanilla, a bit of heat but overall smooth.
