Imagine a dry, hot, summer day. Hot wind stirs up dust. Sweat beading on your brow. You scan the horizon for a place to take refuge. All you see is orange hued sepia and dead grass. Suddenly, an oasis appears with all the crystal clear water you can stomach; served to you in glass carafes by toga laden supermodels. Is this real or a dream?
Im blown away. Shouldnt even be rating this right now. Is it a 5? Is it a 4? A 6? Who knows. All I know is that this is fantastic. In order for me to rank it a 5, it has to be in my top 10. While Im unsure of that, I can say its somewhere right around there. A lot going on….. smoke, bbq, marshmallows, mango, peach, apricot, cream cheese, and maybe even some truffle type flavor. This is excellent and worth the price. Seek it out!!!!!!!
Wasnt expecting how clean this was. Tequila-esque. Some minerality present, but not much beyond that. Gonna go ahead and update this review next month if oxidation changes anything
What kon-tiki said. Maybe some air would do this good. We’ll see

Definitely different. Almost shandy-esque. Sweet tea and melons, with some type of oats/oatmeal flavor on the back end. Interesting
Piloncillo. Crazy sweet. Almost like molasses. Or a dark rum. Not complaining tho, as the rest of this dram is quite pleasant. Mango, sugar, and figs/dates. Pretty good
Produce section at HEB. Cucumbers, cilantro, mint, lime. Really strange for a tep imo, because there is little to no sweetness to balance out the garden I am drinking. Not sure if I love it or dislike it….. maybe missing something? Or is my palate dog crap today? Leaning towards the latter
Again, more pepper in this Buho dram. A little disjointed.. hot up front, but finish is short and smooth. Not my fave
If you would have blindfolded me, I would have maybe guessed a standard espadin with some karwinskii-type ensamble. Pinon, some soot, and a tad bit of honey. Not really scratching my itch. Ok
Juicy Fruit!!! Piloncillo! A tad bit of cilantro and masa! Killer pairing with some homemade barbacoa. Excellent
This.Is.STELLAR. At $180 a bottle, I wish I would have bought a second. Best mezcal ive had in a while. I get more Jabalin than Bicuixe, but the combo works wonderfully. I really cant find any faults on this one.
What others said. Kinda muddled in flavor profile. Not clean or crisp, but not unenjoyable (is that a word?). Mediocre
Pour from Suerte during happy hour. Pine, cream cheese, passionfruit, carrot cake, pumpkin pie, and more! Blown away by this one. A slight burn on the back end keeps this from being a 5.
Rye-like spiciness. Or maybe more like cilantro/verbena type zing on it. Well integrated, not overly complex tho. Solid
Even though this is 60% tobala, I get more of the tobaziche, to be honest. Stone fruit and rock candy.. classic karwinskii for me. Didnt blow my socks off, but another fine mezcal from Lalo
Whoah. Dr Pepper, lemon verbena, maybe some tootsie rolls? Just interesting, to say the least. Really takes your palate on a trip. Worth trying just for the experience alone. The finish is strange… almost dry.. like a still cider or mead. Dang
Smoked pears. Some sweet tea. A dash of heat throughout. Not overbearing, but has a little heft to it. Velvety mouthfeel. Very enjoyable
Standard Cupreata. Melon, lime, and basil. Slight gritiness on the back end… reminds me of Del Maguey’s Tobala for some reason
