Nose – Pineapple soda. The slightest bit skunky but by no means off putting.Palate – Pine sap. High strength beer hoppy note. Asiago cheese. What I really like about this is the back end meaty, spiciness – it’s like panfrying dark chicken meat with a sprinkle of chopped Bird Eye Thai pepper. This finish and aftertaste is phenomenal, everything comes together and really works.
Nose – Hot Tamales candy. Sawdust. Slight bit of rosemary. A few floral notes – like being in a flower shop (florist).
Palate – Hat tip to Greenspoint (Texas) who is on point with the Pepto note although mine leans more the Cherry flavored Pepto tablets (although this is by no means chalky, just the flavor). Light white cheddar. The heat on this is dynamic – it seems to light up different areas of the mouth (always on the move). Overall though this is a little bit too medical/herbal for me but it is still a well crafted sipper.
Nose – Sweet lemonade. Thyme butter.
Palate – An interesting funky, fruity meatiness that I love – like a ribeye marinated in Hawaiian Punch and charred over an encino ember campfire. Black pepper. Blue cheese. Champagne. The aftertaste goes on for minutes.
Nose – Pink bubblegum. Dried apricot. Candied ginger. Very sweet, pleasant nose.
Palate – Cotton candy. Rockets Halloween candy. Perfect heat for me. A tingling, sugary finish that fades to an oaky smoke and slight cojita cheese salinity. A long aftertaste that stays nice and warm.
This stuff is pretty awesome! This was only a 1 oz. sample but a bottle might not last much longer. Yum!
Nose – Cider. Purple cabbage. Fuji apple slices. Crabgrass.
Palate – Big grassy notes and soft clay (it doesn’t carry the funky aspect I recall in other Siete Misterios expressions). Course black pepper. Whole milk. Icing sugar. Finish is tad tangy/sour and falls flat pretty quick.
It’s a decent mezcal but at 49% the flavors I felt were a few notches back (i.e. slightly watery). Add to that the price point, this is a bit of a miss for me.
Nose – Lime citrus. Pumpkin seeds.
Palate – Extremely light flavors (black pepper, vanilla) at first then it comes together in the middle. Dry the rest of the way. Peaty finish with vanilla, light cream and a dry, house white wine. This one starts mediocre but finishes pretty well.
Nose – The volume of pechuga fruits & spices on this is dialed right in – very welcoming. Also a bit of olive oil.
Palate – Fruity and a big ol turkey drumstick – less on the baking spices which I think many pechugas tend to over do it on. A dry, pine wood finish. A very nice pechuga. ?
Nose – A smoky, orange Pina Colada (if there is such a delicious drink).
Palate – Orange sorbet. Lightly smoked sweet cream. Then a right angle turn in the middle – the sweet cream doesn’t so much sour but becomes quite funky (like a fine aged white cheddar) and a tad burnt – which extend to the finish and aftertaste. The flavors on this are incredibly unique (but not complex) to my palate, really good stuff!
Nose – Fresh garden pea pods. Wet soil. Vanilla. Carrot tops.
Palate – Rose water. Wet cobblestone. Heat is very balanced, a steady stream of minty heat well into the finish. Semi-sweet baking chocolate and a gentle smoke in the aftertaste.
Nose – Dr. Pepper soda. Celery. Honey.
Palate – Incredibly floral. Dark chocolate. Raspberry sorbet. Woody and a hint of licorice in the finish. Light and easy sipping.
Nose – Orange citrus. Clay. Vanilla cream.
Palate – Enjoyable funky clay with orange and vanilla notes from the nose. A solid hit of black pepper heat. Extra aged Parmesan cheese. Dry champagne and that lasting black pepper heat in the finish.
Nose – Crazy, soft welcoming vanilla. Oak.
Palate – Funky vanilla ice cream. Smoked deli turkey. A nice, slight grittiness in the mouth feel. A strong, aged oaky finish like an anejo… but quality. A very dry, yet dried fruit aftertaste.
Nose – Smoky peaches and cream. Mosquito repellent.
Palate – Sweet, creamy, grassy, and black licorice all in one hit. Vanilla, eucalyptus and pine smoke in the finish and a long aftertaste.
Nose – Candied jalapeños. Root beer soda. Vanilla.
Palate – I dig the gradual build in heat. Long lasting sweetness. Mandarin orange peel. Oak campfire smoke. A dry champagne finish with lasting peppery heat throughout.
Nose – Huge blast of chopped jalapeño peppers.
Palate – Very weak and watery to start. Then the heat starts to build but it doesn’t come together much. I liken this to making jalapeño simple syrup (for spicy palomas cocktails) but way short on sugar and heavy on the jalapeño flesh.
Nose – Opening a box of fresh, Air Jordans. Blueberries.
Palate – So much going on with this, it’s an absolute whirlwind. Intense mint heat the whole way and quite dry. Insane clay notes too. Rubber plant, flower stem and wet, cigarette tobacco in the finish which doesn’t sound appealing but it works.
I only got a 2 oz pour in a bar in Michoacan and it probably deserves further inspection, – this is a complex, mind bending sipper.
Nose – Buttery. Shaved lemon zest.
Palate – Creamy, clay peppery heat – very cool! Sugary raisins. Granny Smith apple slices. Charred potpourri and tobacco finish. This has a lasting aftertaste and the reviewer notes of chocolate covered blueberries is frickin bullseye! ?
Nose – Grilled pineapple. Rose water.
Palate – It’s got a bitter, smoky bite (tangy, sour) to it right at the get go. Floral (jasmin) sweetness in the finish. Dry, wood heavy aftertaste.

Nose – Lab chemicals. Vanilla extract.Palate – Stiff for 38% ABV. Industrial, metallic, artificial sweetener. Not great but hey… it’s $25 a bottle.
Nose – Clay. Dried chili mango. A hint of light sour cream.
Palate – A softened pepper heat and smoke likely from the clay. Medium viscosity. A clay funk that I usually love but this is dialed up a tad much and more sour than (what I deem) normal. Smoked pork notes in the finish. Overall it’s a well craft mezcal but not particularly good value at it’s price point.
